This experience aims to show Caño Cristales, which is a jewel worldwide famous for its special and unique colors given by an endemic plant that bloom only from July to November. Along with this wonder you will also visit 3 important cities of Colombia such as Bogota: the capital; Medellin: the eternal spring city & Cartagena: the walled city that calls the attention of international tourists of all kinds.
During this trip you will enjoy the nature at Caño Cristales, its rivers and fresh water and colours given by its strategic location between 3 ecosystems: The Andean mountains, the eastern savannahs and the Amazon jungle. You will also discover the main spots of the three cities mentioned above having a trip by the highlights of Colombia in a quick 11 days trip which ends with a relaxing visit in the walled city of Cartagena and one of its islands in the Caribbean coast.

– Be prepared with appropriated clothing for the 11 days of the trip in places with different climates, altitudes (from 0 to 2.600 m.a.s.l.) and rural areas where the weather conditions may change unexpectedly.
– Caño Cristales is a national park, so it is necessary to follow local rules and leave the least impact possible and deposit the trash generated in the places disposed for garbage.
– In Caño Cristales de use of chemicals like sunscreen and mosquito repellent are forbidden, so it is important to dress with long-sleeved clothing and use fishing hat or any physical protection from the sun.
– It is important to take cautions against mosquitos and have the vaccination against yellow fever and COVID-19.
– It is important to mention in advance about important illness, allergies and other important health conditions that may affect you during this trip as well as food restrictions.
– Proper clothes for the cities: Bogota, Medellin & Cartagena in climates that range from 14 to 32 Celsius degrees in which the weather might change quickly.
– Waterproof comfortable long-sleeved clothing for hikes at Caño Cristales in an area with temperatures that range from 18 to 35 Celsius degrees (remembering that in Caño Cristales the use of sunscreen and mosquito repellent is not allowed).
– Caps, fishing hat and/or head protection for the sun.
– Appropriated footwear for the hikes in Caño Cristales. (Waterproof trekking boots are recommended and several pairs of sneakers for change). Also, comfortable shoes for the cities.
– Swimming suit, towel and sandals as there will be chances to swim in rivers, lakes and the ocean.
