La Guajira is a region located in the northernmost spot of Colombia, having the largest desertical área of the country. Additionally is the area with the largest indigenous population of the country, specially for the Wayúus communities. Among the main spots to see in the area you will have el Cabo de la Vela, (Which is one of the best spots for KiteSurfing in Southamerica), the Taroa dunes and the Punta Gallinas lighthouse. During our 3 days tour you will be able to visit the most emblematic destinations of this peninsula with an indigenous iinmersion in the Wayuu culture and guided by our indigenous local guides.

(07:30) – Pick up in Riohacha in 4×4 vehicles, then we will head up north to the Desert, doing a short stop in Uribia to get supplies, then we will head to a “Ranchería Wayuu” (location of indígenous communities of the area) where we will have special activities with them. after that we will have lunch and depart to Cabo de la Vela where we will do a tour around the area (Visiting to “Arcoiris” beach, “Pilón de Azúcar” cliff and “Ojo de Agua”), the we will get to our eco-hotel and will have dinner and accommodation in “Chinchorros” (special local traditional hammock) or you will have the option of sleeping in beds for 30.000 pesos extra if you reserved it in advance.
(07:00) – Breakfast and departure in our 4×4 vehicles towards “La Macuira” National Park, on the way we will enjoy the landscapes of the flat desert heading to the unique mountain chain of the region that holds endemic wildlife and the chance to visit several water springs where the national park is located. We will get to our hotel where we will do the check-in and will have lunch. In the afternoon there will be an optional chance to do a trek on the sand dunes of “La Macuira to see fauna or have a free time in the surrounding area of the hotel. At night you will have dinner and accommodation in “Chinchorros” (special local traditional hammock) or you will have the option of sleeping in beds for 40.000 pesos extra if you reserved it in advance.
(07:00) – Breakfast and departure in our 4×4 vehicles towards “Punta Gallinas”, on the way we will visit “Bahía Honda” beach, the “Taroa” and the lighthouse of “Punta Gallinas” which is the northernmost point of Colombia and South-America. After that we will head to our hotel where we will do the chek-in and will have lunch. In the afternoon there will be an optional chance to do a boat tour around “Bahía Hondita” to see flamingos for 25.000 pesos extra, if you don`t want to do it, we can take you to Punta Aguja or give you free time to enjoy the area. At night you will have dinner and accommodation in “Chinchorros” (special local traditional hammock) or you will have the option of sleeping in beds for 30.000 pesos extra if you reserved it in advance.
(07:00) – Breakfast and departure in our 4×4 vehicles towards “Manaure”, on the way we will visit the beaches and attractives on the area and will pass by the eolic park. Once in Manaure we will visit the salt-flats there, afterwards you will be taken to Riohacha where you will end up the tour having lunch in the city.
