Tour Details

Monguí is a town in Boyacá department (state) founded in 1601 and was named heritage town of Colombia in 2010, offering architectonical, cultural and natural beauties. In its rural area is located Ocetá, which is “Páramo” (moor) ecosystem, having its highest point at 4.000 m.a.s.l. (13.000 ft) offering spectacular Andean mountains landscapes.

In this tour you will be taken in 4×4 cars to the Páramo de Ocetá where you will do a beautiful 12 kms trek through this ecosystem. The astonishing landscapes of this destination will amaze its visitors also with its “Frailejones”, which are an endemic plant of this kind of ecosystems. You will have an outdoors lunch at Ocetá and in the afternoon you will get back to Monguí in order to enjoy this charming town.
