PURACÉ NATIONAL PARK (10 hours)

This National Park is located less that 50 Kms away from Popayán, having the active Puracé stratovolcano, at 4.580 m.a.s.l. (15.030 ft), one of the Colombia’s most active volcanoes among other even higher volcanoes and several hots-springs in the area. Four of the country’s most important rivers originate within the area making this an important biosphere reserve.

In this experience you will be taken from Popayán to the National Park, where different ecotourism activities will be done such as condor observation, hikes around the ecosystems and waterfalls of the area ending with a shower in hot springs in the volcanos’ surrounding area. You also can taste traditional meals and at the end of the day you will be taken back to Popayan. Other options for this destination are to do treks to the top of the several volcanos at the area.
