This experience aims to show some of the best wildlife destinations in Colombia in the dry season of the country which in normal conditions starts on early December and ends un early April. This tour is designed for nature lovers, fauna photographers and all the ones that enjoy to be isolated in marvelous preserved ecosystems full of fauna surprises without sacrificing comfortability.
In this tour you will visit selected Colombian spots where fauna is abundant in diverse regions such as the Colombian Andes, the eastern savannahs, the amazon jungle & the Caribbean coast of the country. You will also discover three big cities of Colombia: Bogotá, Medellín and at the end of the tour Cartagena having a balance between nature and cities exploration.

– 4×4 ride to the sector of Chingaza Lake (1.5 hours).
– Trek towards “El Medio” lake where you will get to the highest peaks of the national park (10 kms) in an emptier place where the chance to see spectacled bears are higher.

– Car ride back to the hotel in Bogota and dinner there

– Some of the areas to visit are natural reserves, indigenous sites or destinations with special biological importance, so it is necessary to follow local rules and leave the least impact possible and deposit the trash generated in the places disposed for garbage.
– It is important to take cautions against mosquitos and have the vaccination against yellow fever and COVID-19.
– It is important to mention in advance about important illness, allergies and other important health conditions as this is a very active trip and requires a decent physical condition to be done.

– Waterproof comfortable clothing for hikes In the Colombian mountains, eastern savannahs and amazon jungle in areas with temperatures that range from 6 to 35 Celsius degrees.
– Long sleeved T-shirts and pants for the hikes in the eastern savannahs (There is not a lot of shade and you should avoid sunburns) and for the amazon jungle in order to avoid scratches with the forest and protect against insects.
– Mosquito Repellent and sunscreen.
– Appropriated footwear for the hikes. (Waterproof trekking boots are recommended and several pairs of sneakers and shoes for the 16 days trip).
– Swimming suit, towel and sandals as there will be chances to swim in rivers, lakes and the ocean.
– Proper clothes for the cities as many days are spent in big cities with temperatures that range between 12 and 35 Celsius degrees.
