Tour Details

Popayán is the capital of the department (state) of Cauca and it is called the white city due to the color of most if the colonial buildings in the city center, where several wonderful churches are located and the Nuestra señora de la Ascención Cathedral. The city is also well known for its contributions to Colombian cultural and political life, being home of seventeen Colombian former presidents.

In this walking tour our guides will explain you about the architectonical heritage and the strong religious roots of the city, taking you to different parks, museums, churches and other main spots of the city center.
